What rate will I receive when I send money?

We use live foreign exchange markets to determine the rate you receive when you send money.

When these markets open, you’ll notice that your rate might change until your confirm your transfer. Once you’ve confirmed your transfer, the rate will be fixed.

If the market’s closed, we’ll use the last available rate until it reopens. If you book a transfer at the weekend for example, the rate won’t fluctuate during.

 

How to check the current rate:

1. Log in to your Xe account
   
    
2. In the You have field, enter your home currency and the amount you want to send in this currency
   
    
3. In the You want field, enter the currency into which you wish to convert your home currency
    
   • If you need to send a specific amount in another currency, enter this amount in the You want field and leave the You have field blank.
     
      
4. The exchange rate will show automatically
   
    
5. Click the New Transfer button if you want to send money at the current rate

You can review the rate you'll receive for your transfer before you confirm it, taking into account any fluctuations between the time you start and finish your transfer.
