Why can't I choose HRK as the currency when I send money to Croatia?

Croatia adopted the Euro as its currency on 1 January 2023. This means that you can no longer send Croatian kuna with Xe and that you won't see HRK as a currency option. 

When you choose Croatia as the destination you're sending money to, the receiving currency will update to EUR automatically, reflecting Croatia's move to the euro.
